Mag. Irmgard Delpos

I was born in Salzburg, where I studied most of the subjects I did at university (English, Art History and Pedagogics). During my studies of Protestant Theology in Vienna I was particularly interested in Christian art.

Since 1991 I have been working at Salzburg University in the Department of English Literature. For a few years I had a job in the Department of Pedagogics as well. Additionally I gave private lessons in English and accompanied students on language holidays in Great Britain and Malta. I also enjoyed teaching a course of English for elementary-school children.

Since 2002 I have been a tourist-guide for English, French and Italian as well. I like meeting international guests. The job brings me change and movement. In winter I would choose walks with torches and slay-rides, if I were a tourist.

My favorite sport today is riding my bike in the surroundings of Salzburg. I like its green areas with mountains and lakes which is what I try to show to tourists apart from the town-centre.
